• The Basketball Association of America and the National Basketball League worked out a cooperation agreement that included a respect for each others' player contracts and a common draft that occurred sometime within a few days of the meeting. The leagues agreed not to publicize the names of the players drafted until and when those players signed contracts with their respective teams.
